Nap time

Everyday when I take Brady for a nap, he asks me to stay and nap with him, I always tell him I can't because I have to go downstairs and clean up.

Mummy: Come on Brady, time to nap.
Brady: OK, but I just gotta pick up my toys.

*picks up tous*

Brady: Mummy, I cleaned up my toys, so that means you can nap with me, right?

Laying on Brady's bed, he cuddled up to me.

Brady: I love you mummy.
Mummy: I love you too Brady. Do you know what it means to love somebody, can you tell me?
Brady: It means, here (pointing to chest) in my heart, that's where I love you.

I feel so very fortunate to be raising such a thoughtful & loving child, I hope that never changes.

Hearing.

Often when hubby and I have a conversation with Brady around, we try to make sure he's otherwise occupied, but his hearing is quite amazing and it's not always possible, which leads to hubby or I having to say "Don't say that in front of him".

Mummy: BRADY, stop doing that, they'll break! (He was swinging my iPod earphones around)
Brady: No mummy, don't say that in front of me!

He clearly takes everything a little too literally!

Together!

Recently, Brady LOVES Toy Story, especially number 3, because there's a "bin man" in it, he's fascinated by them.

Anyway, recently we borrowed it from the library and have been watching it back-to-back!!! During the ending credits the other day, Brady turned to me and said:

Brady: Mummy, we belong together.
Mummy: Who does?
Brady: We do.
Mummy: Who's we?
Brady: You and me and daddy! And we belong together, don't we?

In case you don't know, the song at the end is called "We Belong Together" by Randy Newman.
